About the guide

Who writes this Yorkton guide

This is an independent local guide to Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton, written for adults planning an evening there. It takes no bets and is signed by its editorial team, the Broadway West Desk.

Who is behind it

This guide stands apart from the casino, from the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) and from the province. SIGA, a First Nations non-profit organization established in 1995, runs the casino. The guide takes no bets, holds no accounts and has no cashier.

Every page is signed by the Broadway West Desk. That is an editorial desk, and no named author or single person stands behind the byline.

Where the facts come from

Facts on this site come from the casino's own pages at paintedhandcasino.ca, and from SIGA, Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan, the Government of Saskatchewan and the City of Yorkton. The facts were checked in October 2026.

Distances follow a different rule. Each one is a straight line between two map points from OpenStreetMap, not a road distance and not a driving time. For the road route, the directions button opens Google Maps.

The casino leaves some things unpublished. Holiday hours are one, and the casino phone, 306-786-6777, is the way to check a holiday. The games offered on the 9 electronic table games are another. Where that happens, the guide says so instead of guessing.

How the paid links work

Only the home page of this guide carries paid links, and each one is marked Ad. They lead to a private online casino partner. The guide does not name it, and the partner can change. It holds no Saskatchewan licence: in Saskatchewan the only legal online gambling site is PlayNow.com. SIGA self-exclusion and Game Break do not reach the partner's site.

Links to the casino, SIGA, the province and help services are never paid.

The drawings and the photo

The woman in the drawings is an illustrated character created for this guide. She is not a real person, not casino staff and not the author. She never plays a game in the pictures and has no lines on any page.

One photograph appears on the site: the bronze riders in front of the casino entrance. It is by Suzanne Schroeter, shared under CC BY-SA 2.0 on Wikimedia Commons.

What the site keeps

The guide runs with no accounts, no forms and no ad trackers on any page. If you pick a light or dark look, that choice is kept only for the open browser tab and nowhere else.
